Didache: Faithful Teaching

A new issue of Didache: Faithful Teaching (Volume 8_2) is now available at http://didache.nts.edu/.

By way of introduction, Didache: Faithful Teaching, is an interdisciplinary academic journal offered online that explores the intersections of Christian conviction, culture and education for the Church of the Nazarene and other international Wesleyan communities in higher education. This journalistic is sponsored by the International Board of Education (IBOE) of the Church of the Nazarene, in cooperation with Nazarene Theological Seminary. The publication is designed to foster a conversation among our diverse international communities of higher learning, each seeking to educate in various academic disciplines but all guided by Christian conviction shaped through a Wesleyan heritage. With this international context in mind our editorial focus will be upon articles and resources that explore intersections between:

  • an emphasis on Christian faith and practice,
  • an awareness of cultural influences, and
  • the exploration of educational practice and administration.

Dean Blevins ('91), NTS Professor of Christian Education, is the editor of Didache.  In the current issue, you can read articles by several NTS alums, including:  Henry Spaulding ('77) (also  NTS Professor of  Philosophical Theology and Christian Ethics); Brandon Winstead ('05); Jayme Himmelwright ('06); Stéphane Tibi ('06); and Jay Sunberg ('94) (also currently enrolled in the NTS Doctor of Ministry Program).
