Nazarene Compassionate Ministries (NCM), USA/Canada is seeking to fill two (2)

full-time volunteer positions through the Corporation for National and Community Service.

NCM USA/Canada is located in the Global Ministry Center for the International Church of the Nazarene, in Lenexa KS. We are currently recruiting to fill two (2) volunteer positions.  The qualified candidate should have an interest in assisting the department in building its capacity to organize, resource, and equip districts throughout the denomination in their ability to respond effectively to national disasters through Nazarene Disaster Response (NDR).  In addition, the applicant will also assist the department in coordinating and developing resources to strengthen the organizational and developmental capacity of more than 180 Compassionate Ministry Centers throughout the United States and Canada.

Deadline: All applicants must respond by September 9, 2009 and be available for an interview September 9-15, 2009.

Requirements:

• Must be able to give 40 hrs/week in volunteer service
• Must be a United States Citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident
• Must be 18 years or older
• Must obtain two (2) references
• Must have former community service experience
• Must not be employed or enrolled in classes during period of volunteer service

Benefits: Each position will provide the following benefits

• Monthly Housing Stipend – approximately $800/month

• Child Care Stipend
• Educational Grant – approximately $5300 (received on completion of 1 year of service)
